Skin Concerns & Treatments in Amman
Start With the Skin Concern. The Dermatologist Chooses the Appropriate Treatment.
You do not need to choose a device before your appointment.
Many skin concerns can look similar but have different causes. Pigmentation, redness, post-acne marks, scars, enlarged pores and changing skin lesions should not all be treated in the same way.
At Nova Derma, the first step is to identify the concern and diagnosis, then choose the most appropriate medical, procedural, injectable or device-based treatment.
Common Skin Concerns We Treat
Pigmentation & Melasma
Assessment and treatment for melasma, uneven pigmentation, selected sun-related pigmentation and other pigment concerns. Treatment may include medical skin care, chemical peels or selected laser options according to the diagnosis.
Post-Acne Marks
Brown or red marks after acne are different from structural acne scars. Identifying whether the concern is pigmentation, redness or true scarring helps avoid the wrong treatment.
Acne Scars
Rolling, boxcar, ice-pick and mixed acne scars may need different approaches such as subcision, TCA CROSS, RF microneedling, Fractional CO₂ or staged combination treatment.
Scars & Keloids
Treatment depends on whether the concern is a flat mature scar, hypertrophic scar or keloid. Not every scar should be treated with resurfacing, and keloids need scar-specific management.
Skin Texture, Fine Lines & Enlarged Pores
Skin rejuvenation plans may use chemical peels, RF microneedling, Fractional CO₂, selected laser treatment, skin boosters or a combination approach depending on the concern.
Rosacea & Facial Redness
Persistent redness, flushing, inflammatory bumps and sensitive skin may be related to rosacea. Nova Derma manages rosacea medically and does not advertise a vascular-laser service.
Tattoo & Permanent Pigment Removal
Selected tattoos can be treated with Q-switched Nd:YAG laser after assessment of ink color, depth, skin type and expectations. Multiple sessions are usually required.
Moles & Changing Skin Lesions
A changing, unusual or uncertain mole should be assessed before any destructive procedure. Dermoscopy, follow-up or biopsy may be appropriate depending on the finding.
How We Choose a Treatment
- Confirm what the concern actually is
- Consider skin type, location and severity
- Review previous treatment and current skin-care products
- Decide whether medical treatment, a procedure, an injectable, a device or observation is most appropriate
- Use combination or staged treatment when one treatment alone is unlikely to address the full concern
The aim is the simplest effective plan that matches the problem, not the newest device available at the clinic.
Not Every Skin Concern Needs a Procedure
Some concerns improve best with diagnosis-specific skin care or medication. Others may benefit from a procedure or device. The aim is to choose the simplest effective plan that matches the problem rather than treating every concern with technology.
No vascular laser service
