Sculptra® & Radiesse® in Amman

Stimulate Collagen. Improve Firmness. Restore Facial Support.

Collagen biostimulators are injectable treatments designed to improve skin firmness, structure and age-related volume changes by stimulating the skin's own collagen production.

At Nova Derma, we offer Sculptra® and Radiesse®

  • Sculptra®

    Collagen biostimulator

A poly-L-lactic acid biostimulator that works by stimulating the body's own collagen over a series of sessions rather than by adding immediate volume.

  • Radiesse®

    Collagen biostimulator

A calcium hydroxylapatite biostimulator with both an immediate correcting effect and a longer-term collagen-stimulating effect.

Treatment May Help With

  • Restoring age-related facial volume loss
  • Improving skin firmness
  • Reducing the appearance of skin laxity
  • Improving facial support and contour
  • Improving jawline and lower-face definition
  • Improving overall skin quality
  • Supporting gradual facial rejuvenation

Biostimulators Are Different From Traditional Fillers

Traditional hyaluronic-acid fillers are commonly used when we want immediate volume restoration or precise contouring in a selected area.

Collagen biostimulators are selected when the goal includes gradual improvement in tissue quality, firmness and structural support through collagen stimulation.

The aim is not simply to fill — it is to improve the quality and support of the tissue over time.

Neither is automatically better. The choice depends on the treatment goal.

We choose the biostimulator according to the treatment goal — not simply the product name.

Which One Is Better?

  • The goal is gradual collagen stimulation and broader facial rejuvenation

    Sculptra® may be considered.

  • The goal is structural support, contouring or skin-quality biostimulation

    Radiesse® may be considered.

  • The concern is something else

Sometimes another injectable or treatment may better suit the concern.

We choose the biostimulator according to the treatment goal — not simply the product name.

What Areas Can Be Treated?

The treatment area depends on whether the goal is gradual collagen stimulation, structural support, contouring or improvement in skin quality.

  • Facial Rejuvenation

Sculptra® can be used in selected facial areas for gradual collagen stimulation and improvement in support, firmness and age-related changes.

  • Lower Face & Jawline

Radiesse® may be considered when the goal is structural support, lower-face contouring or jawline definition.

  • Neck

Selected biostimulation protocols may be used to improve skin firmness, texture, fine lines and crepey appearance of the neck.

  • Hands

Radiesse® may be used in selected patients to help:

    • Restore age-related volume loss on the backs of the hands
    • Reduce the visible prominence of tendons and veins
    • Improve skin thickness and quality
    • Improve the overall age-related appearance of the hands

The treatment depends on the goal
Loss of facial support may require a different approach from skin laxity, contouring or skin-quality improvement.

We choose the treatment according to what needs to be restored or improved — not simply by product name.

What to Expect From Treatment

  1. Assessment

Your dermatologist assesses the treatment area, degree of volume loss or laxity, skin quality, facial support and your goals before choosing Sculptra®, Radiesse® or another option.

  2. Treatment

The product is injected into selected areas according to the treatment plan. Technique and amount depend on whether the goal is collagen stimulation, structural support, contouring or skin-quality improvement.

  3. After Treatment

    These usually improve gradually.

    • Swelling
    • Redness
    • Tenderness
    • Bruising
  • When Will I See Results?

Sculptra® results develop gradually as collagen production increases over time. Radiesse® may provide more immediate support in some treatment areas, with additional improvement developing as collagen stimulation continues.

  • How Many Sessions Will I Need?

There is no fixed protocol for every patient. The number of treatments depends on the product, treatment area, degree of correction needed and individual response.

Collagen biostimulation is about gradual improvement — not an instant transformation.

Am I a Candidate?

Sculptra® or Radiesse® may be considered if you want to improve:

  • Facial support and age-related volume changes
  • Skin firmness and elasticity
  • Lower-face or jawline contour
  • Crepey or lax skin
  • Overall skin quality

When Should Treatment Be Postponed or Avoided?

  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding
  • Active infection or inflammation in the treatment area
  • Certain allergies or previous reactions to injectable products
  • A tendency to develop keloid or hypertrophic scars, particularly when considering Sculptra®

Before treatment

Your dermatologist reviews your medical history, previous injectables, treatment area and goals to determine whether Sculptra®, Radiesse® or another option makes more sense.

The treatment should match what your face or skin actually needs.

Facial Changes After Significant Weight Loss

Significant weight loss can sometimes leave the face looking less full, more lax or more tired, particularly around the cheeks, temples and lower face.

This is sometimes referred to online as “Ozempic face”, although similar changes can occur after substantial weight loss from other causes. Depending on the pattern of volume loss and skin laxity, treatment may include:

  • Sculptra®

For gradual collagen stimulation and restoration of facial support.

  • Radiesse®

For selected areas requiring structural support, contouring or collagen biostimulation.

  • Dermal Fillers or Other Treatments

When more precise volume restoration or another concern needs to be addressed.

The treatment depends on what changed after the weight loss — volume, support, skin laxity, or a combination.

Frequently Asked Questions

What Is the Difference Between Sculptra® and Radiesse®?

Sculptra® focuses on gradual collagen stimulation and improvement in facial support over time. Radiesse® can provide structural support in selected areas while also stimulating collagen. The choice depends on the treatment goal.

When Will I See Results?

Sculptra® improves gradually as collagen develops. Radiesse® may provide some immediate support, with further improvement developing over time.

How Many Sessions Will I Need?

There is no fixed number. The treatment plan depends on the degree of volume loss or laxity, treatment area and individual response.

Can Sculptra® or Radiesse® Treat “Ozempic Face”?

They may be considered when significant weight loss has resulted in facial volume loss, reduced support or skin laxity. Treatment depends on what has changed and may also include dermal fillers or other rejuvenation options.

Are Sculptra® and Radiesse® the Same as Dermal Fillers?

Not exactly. Traditional hyaluronic-acid fillers are often chosen for precise volume restoration and contouring, while Sculptra® and Radiesse® also work through collagen biostimulation.

Can They Be Used for the Neck?

Selected biostimulation treatments may be used to improve skin firmness, texture and crepey appearance of the neck.

Is There Downtime?

Usually limited. Temporary swelling, redness, tenderness or bruising may occur after treatment and generally settle gradually.

Which Treatment Should I Choose?

You do not need to choose before your consultation. Your dermatologist assesses whether the main concern is volume loss, reduced support, laxity, contour or skin quality and recommends the most appropriate option.

The treatment is selected according to what needs to be restored or improved — not simply which product is more popular.

Considering Sculptra® or Radiesse®?

If your concern is facial volume loss, reduced firmness, lower-face support, skin laxity or changes after significant weight loss, the first step is an assessment.

At Nova Derma, we determine whether the better approach is Sculptra®, Radiesse®, dermal filler, another skin-rejuvenation treatment, or a combination.
