Botox & Anti-Wrinkle Injections in Amman

Softer Expression Lines. Natural Facial Movement.

The goal is softer lines — not a standard injection pattern for every face.

Botulinum toxin injections can soften expression lines caused by repeated facial-muscle movement while preserving a natural, balanced appearance.

At Nova Derma, treatment is individualized according to facial anatomy, muscle strength, eyebrow position, natural asymmetry and how much movement you want to retain.

  • BOTOX®
  • XEOMIN®
  • Dysport®

How Does Botulinum Toxin Work?

Botulinum toxin temporarily reduces the activity of selected muscles that create dynamic expression lines — lines that appear or deepen when you frown, raise your eyebrows or smile.

  • Frown Lines

    Vertical lines between the eyebrows.

  • Forehead Lines

Horizontal lines that appear when raising the eyebrows.

  • Crow's Feet

Expression lines around the outer corners of the eyes.

What about lines visible at rest?
Deeper lines may remain visible even when the face is relaxed. Reducing the repeated movement may soften them, but established static lines can sometimes need an additional skin-quality or resurfacing treatment for further improvement.

Botox is not filler
Botulinum toxin reduces selected muscle activity. Dermal filler restores or adds volume and structural support. The right treatment depends on what is actually causing the concern.

Treat the movement when movement is the problem.

What Areas Can Be Treated?

The upper face is the main anti-wrinkle treatment area:

  • Forehead lines
  • Frown lines between the eyebrows
  • Crow's feet around the outer eyes

Other selected areas
Depending on your anatomy and goals, treatment may also be considered for selected concerns such as brow shaping, bunny lines, gummy smile, chin dimpling, downturned mouth corners or masseter prominence. These areas are assessed individually.

More injections do not automatically mean a better result. We treat the movements that contribute to the concern and preserve movement that does not need treatment.

Natural-Looking Results

The amount of movement remaining after treatment depends on the muscles treated, dose, facial anatomy and your preferred result.

Some patients want stronger movement reduction; others prefer softer lines with more expression. Natural-looking treatment is about balance, not simply using fewer units.

What to Expect

  1. Facial Assessment

Your dermatologist assesses your face at rest and during expression, including brow position and natural asymmetry.

  2. Treatment

Small amounts of botulinum toxin are injected into selected muscles using a fine needle. The procedure itself is usually quick.

  • When Will I See the Result?

You may begin noticing a change during the first few days. The effect continues to settle, so we usually allow about two weeks before judging the final balance and symmetry.

  • How Long Does It Last?

The effect is temporary. For many patients, upper-face anti-wrinkle results last around 3–4 months, although duration varies between individuals and treatment areas.

  • Is There Downtime?

Usually very little. Temporary effects can include mild redness, small injection-site bumps, tenderness, bruising or headache.

  • Review at Around Two Weeks

A review may be useful to assess symmetry, muscle relaxation, brow position, remaining movement and whether the intended result has been achieved. Additional treatment is not automatic; it is considered only after the result has settled and the face is reassessed.

Candidacy & Safety

Most healthy adults seeking improvement in expression lines can be considered for treatment, but suitability depends on facial anatomy, medical history, previous treatment and the area being treated.

Tell your dermatologist about previous botulinum toxin injections, medications, neuromuscular conditions, previous eyelid or brow drooping, reactions to injections, and any infection or inflammation near the planned treatment area.

When Is Treatment Avoided or Postponed?

  • Active infection or significant inflammation at the planned injection site
  • Known allergy to the selected product or one of its ingredients
  • Certain neuromuscular disorders requiring additional medical assessment
  • Pregnancy; elective cosmetic treatment is postponed
  • Breastfeeding should be discussed and elective treatment is generally deferred

Possible Side Effects

Common effects are usually temporary and include redness, tenderness or bruising. Less commonly, nearby muscle weakness can cause temporary asymmetry or eyelid/brow drooping.

Urgent medical assessment required

Urgent medical assessment is required for unusual difficulty swallowing, speaking or breathing after botulinum toxin treatment.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will I look frozen?

Not necessarily. The treatment can be planned to retain more movement when that is the preferred result.

Which is better: BOTOX®, XEOMIN® or Dysport®?

No single product is automatically best for every patient. Product choice depends on the treatment area, previous experience, clinical plan and availability.

Will I need a touch-up?

Not automatically. We allow the treatment to settle for about two weeks before deciding whether any additional treatment is appropriate.

What happens if I stop treatment?

The effect gradually wears off and muscle movement returns. Expression lines can gradually become visible again; the face does not suddenly become worse because treatment is stopped.

Is Botox the same as filler?

No. Botulinum toxin reduces selected muscle movement; filler adds or restores volume and structural support.

Considering Botox or Anti-Wrinkle Treatment?

The first step is a facial assessment to identify which movements are creating the concern and how much expression you want to preserve.
